Introduced to China in the early 1990s, it is widely cultivated in Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Yunnan, and Sichuan. China has become a major global producer, with Guangxi as the core region.It is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid with a strong, fresh, camphoraceous‑herbaceous aroma, warm and spicy.
