Chinese Perilla Leaf Oil is steam‑distilled from the fresh leaves of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt. (Perilla), a traditional Chinese herb in the Lamiaceae family. China is the world’s largest producer, with major origins in Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Shandong, Sichuan, Hubei, Zhejiang.It is a colorless to pale yellow or light green clear liquid with a fresh, herbaceous, spicy‑cool aroma, characteristic of perilla. The key component is perillaldehyde (35–75%), plus limonene, β‑caryophyllene, linalool, pinene, and perillaketone. It has antibacterial, anti‑inflammatory, antioxidant, anti‑allergic, digestive, and mood‑calming properties, widely used in food, medicine, cosmetics, and aromatherapy.
