Cassia oil
Cassia Oil
Product Introduction
Cassia Oil, also known as Chinese Cinnamon Oil, is steam‑distilled from the bark and twigs of Cinnamomum cassia (Chinese cinnamon), a plant native to southern China and Southeast Asia. It is a pale yellow to reddish‑brown liquid with an intense, warm, spicy‑sweet aroma, distinctly stronger and more pungent than Ceylon cinnamon oil.
The main constituent is cinnamaldehyde (70–90%), plus small amounts of coumarin and cinnamyl acetate, which give the oil strong antibacterial, antifungal, warming and stimulating properties. It is widely used in aromatherapy, body care, food flavoring and home fragrance.
